We are a few minutes' walk from Brixton tube and railway station, located on Atlantic Road.
For over two decades Blacklinesw9 has been a cornerstone of Brixton's vibrant culture. We are more than just a tattoo and piercing studio, we are a home for self expression, artistry and trust.
Founded in 2002 by @klaustattooer (Klaudia Smith) our shop was built on a love for art and a deep respect for Brixton's vibrant culture and diversity.
Started as a small studio in the Brixton market, now it is a landmark for local and visitors seeking quality, safety and creativity: generations of brixtonians have trusted us with their first tattoos, piercings and boldest ideas. We are proud to be part of Brixton's creative pulse - collaborating with local artists, musicians and events: our shop reflects the neighborhood's energy, resilience and diversity.
If you are looking for a unique, high quality, customised tattooing experience in a clean and professional environment, come and pay us a visit. We love realism, illustrative, inkwash and Japanese tattoos, script, and our artists cater for a variety of styles. We have a passion for reworks, and scar coverup.
We also offer high quality piercings with safe and sterile procedures throughout.
All appointments take place in individual private rooms. If privacy is important to you - and we understand that it often is - you are welcome to visit us beforehand to see the space and satisfy yourself that it meets your needs before committing to an appointment.
We operate a calm studio environment. No music is played loudly across the shop: because your appointment should be a comfortable, focused experience, not one you have to raise your voice through.
As tattoo artists we will always strive to create the best work we can for you. We will suggest what we believe would look best in regards to design, composition and placement, and explain our reasoning.
We can also advise on what to wear or bring to your appointment, keeping in mind comfort, functionality, hygiene and privacy.
We will always treat you with respect and do our best to ensure your comfort throughout. We reserve the right to refuse service if we feel our work would not be up to standard or compatible with our ethos.
